Duration of outing: 1 ½ hour.
Directions: From Cape Town take the M3 southbound, at the end of the highway turn left, and then right onto the Main road, towards Kalk Bay. Turn right into Clairvaux Road and then immediately right to enter the Outspan car park and meeting point.

Steve Herbert, Secretary for the Kalk Bay Historical Society will take us on a walk through Kalk Bay, exploring the historical roots of this remarkable fishing village. Steve will share many stories including, the Filipino settlers, the fishing industry and impact of the Group Areas Act on the area.

Note: The route will incorporate some walking uphill, so please wear comfortable shoes and bring a sunhat and water.
